About This Quote

There’s something very enticing about an empty bench under a tree. And if it’s facing a river, that’s the bench for me. The bench under the tree is so picturesque and serene, and it’s a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a picnic or a daydream. The bench on the other hand is a little more practical.

It’s right next to a highway, there are other people who may be walking by, it could be scraped by vehicles…and that’s not even getting into how bad those benches can smell. In spite of all this, however, the bench on the other side of the river is still tempting. It’s peaceful, secluded, and looks as though it has been well-loved for many years.

But your heart also tells you that it could be dangerous to go there…the river could flood, robbers could rob you, or someone might just jump in and drown you…but then again maybe they would just take you home with them and show you a good time! There are so many different ways that things can go wrong – but if your heart says go for it, then go for it!
